1. Information We Collect

Saflio is a hosted service. When you create an account, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, and password (stored securely, with support for two-factor authentication).

As you use Saflio's apps — Point of Sale, Budgeting, and Invoicing — we store the data you create: products, orders, customers, budgets, transactions, invoices, estimates, payments, and related records. This data belongs to you and is used only to operate the services you use.

If you contact us via email or our contact form, we receive only the information you voluntarily provide (name, email address, and message content).

2. How We Use Information

Your data is used to operate and improve the Saflio apps you use: processing sales and payments, generating invoices and receipts, sending you transaction emails, and providing account support. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Saflio's infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, optional two-factor authentication, and access controls on our systems.

4. Payments & Third-Party Services

Online payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe and PayMongo. When you pay an invoice or make a purchase, your payment details go directly to the provider; we receive only the payment confirmation. Transactional emails (invoices, receipts, reset links) are sent through our email provider. This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.

Saflio Point of Sale may connect to Open Food Facts and USDA databases for barcode lookup and nutritional information. These requests are made client-to-service and are subject to those services' privacy policies.

5. Your Data Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Export: You can download a copy of all data associated with your account at any time from the Privacy & Data section of your account portal.
• Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all data you've created across Saflio apps at any time from the same section. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
• Access & correction: You can review and update your profile information in your account settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, to provide the services you use. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems. Where required by law (for example, payment records subject to tax or accounting obligations), we may retain limited records for the period required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

Saflio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
