Invoices, estimates, statements, and contracts are emailed as PDFs in the customer's language โ while your own wording stays exactly as you wrote it.
Documents in the customer's language
When Collect emails a PDF โ invoice, estimate, statement, or contract โ the document's built-in wording (labels, headings, totals, payment terms) is rendered in the customer's language. Your own text is never machine-translated.
How the language is chosen
Saflio walks a chain, and the first level with an opinion wins:
- A language you pick for this send (per-send override)
- The customer's saved language (Customers โ their language)
- Your own portal language
- Your company's default document language
- English โ the final fallback
Blank or unknown counts as no opinion, not as English. Leave a field empty and Saflio simply moves to the next level โ that is what makes a sensible fallback possible.
Setting a customer's language
- Open Customers and pick the client
- Choose their language โ English, Tagalog, Spanish, or Bisaya
- Every future invoice, estimate, statement, and contract for that client goes out in that language
What is not translated
- Your typed line items, descriptions, and notes stay exactly as you wrote them
- Contract sections and clauses you edited by hand are never machine-translated
- Only Saflio's own chrome โ labels, headings, totals, and standard wording โ is translated
๐ก Set a company default once so most documents go out right โ then override per customer or per send only when needed.
